45 Movie Story
Vinay (played by Raj B. Shetty) is a happy software engineer living a simple middle‑class life with his mother and girlfriend Meghana (Kaustubha Mani). One day, while riding his bike without a helmet and talking on the phone, he accidentally hits and kills a black dog named Rosie. Rosie belonged to local don Rayappa (Upendra), who loved her deeply and saw her as a mother figure.
Heartbroken and furious, Rayappa confronts Vinay. Instead of killing him right away, Rayappa gives Vinay 45 days to think about his mistake and relive life. This punishment is inspired by the Garuda Purana, which talks about the soul’s journey after death.
During this difficult time, Vinay meets Shivanna (played by Shiva Rajkumar), a kind and generous man who runs a housing colony called Kasturi Nivasa. At the same time, Vinay starts having a strange dream: he sees himself die in a road accident, followed by a series of events that later happen in real life — including the death of the dog. These supernatural visions make Vinay more and more afraid, as he feels that doom is getting closer.
Shivanna (played by Shiva Rajkumar) becomes Vinay’s mentor and protector, guiding him both spiritually and in real life as he tries to escape Rayappa’s anger. Later, Rayappa (Upendra) is revealed to represent Yamaraja, the Hindu god of death, chasing Vinay to settle karmic debts. As the 45‑day deadline approaches, Vinay faces his guilt, makes peace with his past mistakes, and struggles to outsmart Rayappa.
