Kohrra Season 2 Story
Season 1 of Kohrra worked so well because the focus was only on strong storytelling. The writing and direction felt real and honest. His performance made the story feel heavy and real. In Season 2, Mona Singh steps into a major role as Dhanwant. She plays a wife, mother, and police officer at the same time. She gives her best in every scene.
But her pairing with Barun Sobti does not feel as natural as the original duo. Sobti plays the angry and impulsive Garundi well. He handles the strong role with confidence. The women characters stand out this season. Muskaan Arora as Silky and Ekta Sodhi as ‘votti’ and ‘parjaai’ have some of the best scenes. Their moments add depth and emotion to the series.

Kohrra Season 2 Episode 1 Recap
The story begins in Dalerpura, Punjab. An old woman finds a dead body in her stable. The victim is Preet Bajwa. Sub-Inspector Dhanwant Kaur is called to investigate. ASI Amarpal Garundi is already at the scene. Preet’s brother Baljinder arrives and breaks down. Police find bloody footprints leading to her bedroom. They also see blood near the fence. They learn that Preet was living alone. Her husband Tarseem Sam and children live in the USA. Preet and Sam were separated. Police find out Preet was a dance influencer. She used to post reels online.
Dhanwant is upset with Garundi for not securing the crime scene properly. But Inspector Aseem Khatri tells her to ignore it. Garundi starts looking for Preet’s dance partner, Johnny Malang. Dhanwant talks to Preet’s best friend Charu. Charu says Preet left Sam because he had an affair. She also says Preet was in love with Johnny. Johnny was already cheating on his girlfriend with Preet.
The house help reveals something shocking. On the night of the murder, Preet secretly met Johnny. He even slapped her during an argument. Later, Garundi learns Johnny borrowed ₹30,000 on the morning of the murder. Then he disappeared. His phone is switched off.
At the same time, Dhanwant is dealing with her personal life. She also visits a doctor about an IVF procedure. Garundi attends a family function but gets scolded for not following orders. At Preet’s funeral, Sam and Baljinder argue. A voice note later reveals Sam was asking Preet to return his money. In the end, CCTV footage shows Johnny was heading to Himachal Pradesh. The police chase a lead at the bus stand. The mystery grows deeper. And many secrets are still hidden.

The episode begins with a flashback. Preet Bajwa sees her husband Tarseem Sam hiding his phone. He has changed his password. Sam even slaps Preet. Preet leaves the house and never comes back. In the present, Dhanwant Kaur and Amarpal Garundi question Sam. Sam says Preet took $600,000 from their joint account. He claims she wanted custody of their children. Now the police grow more suspicious of him.
