If It’s Tuesday It’s Murder Story Overview

A man is in a bathroom stall. He opens a suitcase and changes clothes. They are covered in blood. He puts on simple clothes. Then he talks to the camera. He says, “This is not what it looks like.” Then he pauses and says, “Or maybe it is.”

The man is Fabio Torres, played by Alejandro Garcia. He later joins a tour bus in Madrid. The bus is going to Lisbon.

The tour is led by Cristina, played by Carmen Ruiz. She openly talks about her marriage and divorce. Other people on the tour are introduced. Alicia, played by Inma Cuesta, is very curious. Pura, played by Ana Wagener, takes photos of everything. Daniel, played by Biel Montoro, is a young boy on the trip with his parents.

There is a problem with their booking. Cristina takes them to an old, run-down hotel. It feels strange and uncomfortable.

Later, Daniel goes off on his own. He visits the Museum of Crime. There, he meets Fabio, Alicia, Pura, and Fernando. They stand near the preserved head of Diogo Alves. He was a famous serial killer in Portugal.

Daniel gives the group a name. He calls them the “Famous Five.”

Episode 1 of If It’s Tuesday It’s Murder begins with Fabio Torres. He is changing his blood-stained suit in a public bathroom.

Then the story moves to Cristina. She is a tour guide from Prometeo Travel Agency. She welcomes tourists onto a bus going to Lisbon. Fabio is the last to join the group.

The tourists are a bit strange and funny. Some women on the bus admire Fabio. A new man, Fernando, joins the group. Cristina asks Fabio to give his suitcase for storage. Fabio does not like it, but he agrees. The group starts visiting places in Lisbon.

At the Tejo River, a boy named Daniel gets upset. He refuses to leave the bus. Cristina cannot find a proper hotel. So she takes them to Marquês Hotel. The guests are angry. They paid for a luxury stay, not this place. Cristina offers them a refund. The hotel staff then takes everyone to their rooms.

There is a mix-up with suitcases. Alicia opens Fabio’s bag by mistake. She finds gold jewellery and watches inside. Fabio quickly takes it back and returns her bag.

Later, the group visits St George’s Castle. But Daniel walks away alone. He goes to the Museum of Crime. There, he meets Fabio, Alicia, Pura, and Fernando. They all skipped the tour. They talk about their interest in true crime. Fernando leaves early and says he will return later.

At night, the group has dinner. Fernando eats in his room. Fabio goes to sleep early. Alicia also goes to her room. Later, someone slips a note under Fabio’s door. This makes him worried. Elsewhere, Patri and her friend come back drunk.

The next morning, Fernando is missing. Fabio and Alicia go to find him. They find him dead in his bathtub. The police start an investigation.

Cristina continues the tour with the group. But Daniel, Fabio, Alicia, and Pura discuss the case. They notice marks on Fernando’s body. They think he was electrocuted. Daniel believes it is murder. Fabio tells him to stay quiet.

Later, the four meet secretly. They try to solve the case. Alicia thinks a hair dryer was used. She searches for it in the trash. They meet a homeless man. They get a hair dryer from him.

Back at the hotel, Alicia notices something. Every room has a hair dryer, except Fernando’s. Pura adds one more clue. The homeless man saw a one-armed man near the hotel.
