Diarra from Detroit Season 2 continues Diarra’s story as she tries to balance her personal life with a new mystery. The season begins at a family barbecue for Chris, who has returned home after the events of Season 1.
Diarra still wants to find the powerful criminal known as The Chief, who ordered a hit on Chris. She also suspects Chris’ mother, Vonda, knows more than she says. At the same time, Diarra starts to question her relationship with Chris, who is still struggling after his kidnapping.
When their landlord Ron asks Diarra to find his missing antique armoire, she and Chris take on the case together. What starts as a simple search soon turns into a much bigger mystery involving three murders, street gangs, and a citywide treasure hunt. Diarra also faces personal challenges as her ex-boyfriend returns wanting to start a family, while old feelings for her childhood friend Danger begin to resurface.
