Ice Cream Man Movie Plot
At first, Ice Cream Man looks like it might be a good movie. There’s a nice dinner scene with Marty, played by Roth, sitting with his family. It gives hope that the movie won’t turn into just blood and gore. But soon, Roth goes all in on the gross stuff.
The movie shows kids copying cartoon characters in their murders, which is creepy and scary. But the kill scenes keep getting worse and uglier as the movie goes on. Even though Snoop Dogg adds music at the end, it doesn’t save the film from being a cold mess.

Early scenes show promise, like when Marty (Roth) sits with his family at the dinner table. It hints the movie might avoid becoming a splatterfest. Sadly, Roth goes all‑in on gore.
The film uses cartoon characters as inspiration for the kids’ murders, creating a creepy vibe. But the kill sequences quickly become the movie’s worst enemy, growing uglier as the story continues.
Even with suspenseful moments — like the kids hiding in a church — the movie lacks real character or plot development. It focuses on shock value instead of substance.
Snoop Dogg contributes music at the end, but even that can’t save this “ice cold mess.”
Roth has made worse films, but Ice Cream Man shows he still doesn’t grasp what made horror hits like Weapons so effective. Gore can work when necessary, but here it feels excessive and unnecessary.
