Bloodhounds Season 2 Story Overview
Bloodhounds released on Netflix in 2023. It is a crime drama set during the pandemic. The story follows two young boxers.
Geon-woo, played by Woo Do-hwan, and Woo-jin, played by Lee Sang-yi, are best friends. It is both violent and touching. If they could choose, they would live a simple life. They would train, eat home food, and stay peaceful. But trouble always finds them.
In Season 1, they defeat a villain. But new danger comes in Season 2. The new villain is Baek-jeong. He is played by Rain. Baek-jeong is a dangerous boxer. He runs an illegal underground fight club. The fights are watched online. People pay with cryptocurrency on the dark web. Now, the stakes are even higher. Geon-woo and Woo-jin must fight again.
In Season 2 of Bloodhounds, Baek-jeong targets Geon-woo. He wants Geon-woo to fight him. But Geon-woo refuses. This makes Baek-jeong angry. Things quickly get worse.
To force him, Baek-jeong makes a cruel plan. He tries to kidnap Geon-woo’s mother. Her name is Yoon So-yeon, played by Yoon Yoo-sun. Baek-jeong and his men try many times. For most of the season, they fail.
But near the end, they finally succeed. They capture her in the second last episode. Now everything is at risk. This leads to a final, violent showdown. The story builds up to a brutal ending.
In Episode 6 of Bloodhounds, Baek-jeong is caught by the police. This happens because his own man, Tae-geom (Hwang Chan-sung), betrays him.
But Baek-jeong still has many loyal allies. Most of them follow him because he pays them well.
Man-bae (Lee Si-eon) creates a plan. He offers money online to free Baek-jeong. Many fighters accept the offer. They attack the police convoy.
The attack is sudden and violent. They overpower the police. During the chaos, Baek-jeong escapes. He kills Tae-geom and a police officer. Detective Gang-yong (Choi Young-joon) is badly injured.
At the same time, another group attacks So-yeon. She is Geon-woo’s mother. Her guards are defeated. Woo-jin tries to stop them but fails.
Im-beom (Tae Won-seok) is too strong. He defeats Woo-jin. To save Woo-jin, So-yeon makes a choice. She agrees to go with them.
The final battle between Geon-woo and Baek-jeong
To prepare for the fight, Geon-woo and Woo-jin train hard. They find the coach who trained Baek-jeong. The coach teaches them his fighting style. He explains how to counter his moves. Baek-jeong can fight with both hands. So they need a smart plan.
Before the fight, Woo-jin suggests something risky. He wants to switch opponents. Woo-jin will fight Baek-jeong. Geon-woo will fight Im-beom.
Woo-jin knows he may not win. But he wants to tire Baek-jeong out. The plan works. Woo-jin fights bravely and weakens Baek-jeong.
Then Geon-woo steps in. He first defeats Im-beom easily. After that, he fights Baek-jeong. He knocks him out and wins.
At the same time, Du-yeong is searching for So-yeon. He fights and kills many enemies. He does not find her at first. But he learns she is in the next building.
This helps the police. Officer Woo-jeong (Cha Ji-hyuk) rescues So-yeon. During the rescue, Man-bae is killed.
