Why does Woo-gyeom trust Han-jun with his secret?

Han-jun and Woo-gyeom share a heartfelt talk and it feels like they have finally become friends. They remember their past relationship and even joke that things would have been easier if they had trusted each other from the beginning. Han-jun thanks Woo-gyeom for saving Min-seo, and Woo-gyeom says he is glad Han-jun is a good father.

Woo-gyeom also knows that Jeong-su is tracking him and will soon find him. So he takes Han-jun to the ground where his mama was killed. There, he tells him the full truth. He explains that this is where he made his plan and reveals that everything started with Jeong-su.

What occurred when Woo-gyeom fell into a coma?

Through flashbacks, we see that after the accident, Woo-gyeom is taken to Cheum Hospital. Jeong-su, like his father, is obsessed with curing diseases that cannot be treated. Because of this, he approves Han’s idea to experiment on Woo-gyeom.

Two weeks later, Detective Gong tries to convince Hye-ju to stop searching for her missing son. But she refuses to give up. Cheum Hospital then claims that Woo-gyeom is dead. The story does not make sense to her, so she starts investigating Cheum and plans to sue them. During her search, she discovers other patients who died during illegal experiments. When she gets too close to the truth, Jeong-su orders Director Ahn to kill her and throw her body into the river near the bridge.

Jeong-su becomes impatient with the slow research progress. He brings in a new team and closely watches Han. Feeling pressured, Han escapes with Woo-gyeom after he wakes up. It can be understood that Dr. Song Min-su later betrayed Cheum by helping Han, so Jeong-su had Shin kill Dr. Song.

Later, Woo-gyeom finds his mother’s investigation files about Cheum. She had also listed honest people who could help her, including Prosecutor Cha, Han-jun, and Reporter Jo. This is why Woo-gyeom approaches them. It seems his real goal was to destroy Chae Jeong-su after he perfected his cure.

Why does Woo-gyeom attempt to murder Chairman Chae Jeong-su?

Jeong-su finally arrives at the bridge and angrily scolds Han-jun and Woo-gyeom. He calls them selfish and irresponsible and even insults their families. Woo-gyeom tries to punch him, but Shin Ho-chang stops him and hurts him. This makes Jeong-su furious. He beats Shin for damaging what he calls a valuable “asset.” His only concern is the cure. He suddenly begs Woo-gyeom to start over with him.

Woo-gyeom pretends to think about it, then grabs Jeong-su by the throat. He accuses him of being cruel and selfish even though he once suffered himself. But Jeong-su reveals a shocking truth — he was not forced. He had willingly offered himself as his father’s test subject. He believes it is an honor to help Cheum find a cure. He cares more about fame than human life. This makes Woo-gyeom even angrier.

At that moment, Prosecutor Cha arrives with the police. Fearing Jeong-su may escape justice, Woo-gyeom tries to kill him. Han-jun and Cha both try to stop him. Cha even says she has enough evidence to arrest Jeong-su legally.

But Woo-gyeom says it is already too late. Just as he moves to kill Jeong-su, a police officer fires. Han-jun jumps in front and takes the bullet, begging Woo-gyeom to stop. Woo-gyeom is shaken but tells Cha to take care of Han-jun. He walks toward Jeong-su again. The officer shoots him a second time. Woo-gyeom falls from the bridge into the river below. Cha, Han-jun, and Jeong-su all watch in shock, each for their own reasons.

Earlier, when Woo-gyeom brought Han-jun to this bridge, he said he would disappear after making Jeong-su disappear. This suggests he planned to die after finishing his revenge, just as he once turned himself in for his crimes. However, the ending twist suggests another possibility — Woo-gyeom may have faked his death so he could continue developing the cure freely, without being hunted by the law.

Bloody Flower 2026 Show Ending Explained?

Woo-gyeom continued his mother’s investigation and collected the personal details of all 223 victims who died during Cheum’s illegal experiments. He gave this information to Han-jun, who then passed it to Prosecutor Cha. Along with this list, Cheum’s audit report became strong evidence to arrest Jeong-su for illegal human testing.

Grateful to Woo-gyeom, Cha later visits his grave to pay her respects, since he has been declared dead.

Meanwhile, Han-jun finds the only sample of the cure hidden inside Woo-gyeom’s metronome. In a flashback, Woo-gyeom had told Han-jun he could do whatever he wanted with it. In the present, Han-jun stands by the river, ready to throw the cure away. Just then, he receives a call from Woo-gyeom. Han-jun smiles, realizing that Woo-gyeom is still alive.
