The episode delivers one of the season’s most shocking moments: Detective Lena Silver takes a bullet while investigating a shady company smuggling contraband into the local prison. The lead comes from Eric Harper (Joe Delfin), the criminal who previously attacked Lena’s old friend Yancey. Digging deeper, Lena and Danny Reagan uncover a commissary vendor called Dax, delivering goods in unmarked cars.
While plotting their next move, they knock on the Dax warehouse door — only for a shot to blast through, knocking Lena to the ground. The shooter is revealed as Wally Craig, a former inmate. In the chaos, Sean Reagan jumps onto the back of Wally’s van as he speeds away. Sean is thrown off, but one of his AirPods lands on the bumper. That small detail allows the Boston PD to track the van and eventually locate Wally.
The season closes with a family gathering full of special guests. Joe, Chris, and Kristina join the Silvers, and Kristina acknowledges that she and Lena are half‑sisters. Lena replies warmly: “We never looked at it as half or step, just one big, happy, kind of confusing family.”
