Landman Season 2 ended last night with a big and exciting finale. Tommy and his team once again caused trouble, setting up some major problems that could explode in Season 3. Because of this, fans are already talking about when the next season might arrive — and the wait may not be very long.
The good news is that Landman was renewed for Season 3 back in December 2025, even before the Season 2 finale aired. The show had a massive launch on Paramount+, with Season 2 becoming the most-watched premiere in the platform’s history. It pulled in 9.2 million viewers worldwide in just two days, which was a huge jump from Season 1. Because of this success, a renewal was an easy decision.
Another reason fans are hopeful is that creator Taylor Sheridan has kept the show on a yearly release schedule.
So instead of just Estimating, it looks like Landman Season 3 could arrive very soon. Reports say the show is following the same filming schedule as before. Sam Elliott, who has joined the cast as Tommy’s father, shared that filming is expected to begin in April or May 2026.

Warning: Landman Season 3 Has Major Season 2 Finale Spoilers
The Landman Season 2 finale felt like a calm ending for Billy Bob Thornton’s character, Tommy Norris. Even though he was fired from M-Tex Oil by Demi Moore’s character, Cami, this actually gives Tommy a fresh start. He plans to begin his own oil company with his son Cooper, played by Jacob Lofland. Cooper is finally free, as he is no longer facing charges in the attack involving his fiancée, Ariana.
There is still danger ahead, though. Cartel boss Gallino, played by Andy Garcia, warns Tommy that things could turn bad if their business deal fails. In the world of Landman, that kind of threat is nothing new.
Tommy’s daughter Ainsley, played by Michelle Randolph, also gets a softer ending. She stands up for her nonbinary college roommate Paigyn after previously making hurtful comments. This moment hints that Ainsley—and maybe even the audience—might start seeing things in a new way going forward.
