Run Away Season 1 Story
A year later, Simon Greene (James Nesbitt) gets ready for work, talking to his daughter Anya (Ellie Henry) about homework and saying goodbye to his wife Ingrid (Minnie Driver), who is a doctor. But instead of going to work, Simon goes to a park after hearing where he might find his older daughter Paige (Ellie De Lange). He hasn’t seen her in six months because she has fallen into drugs and crime with her boyfriend Aaron Corval (Thomas Flynn).
Simon sees Paige playing music on the street, but she runs away when he approaches. Aaron shows up, punches Simon, and kicks him while he’s down. People record the attack on their phones, and the video quickly goes viral.
Detectives Isaac Fagbenle (Alfred Enoch) and Ruby Todd (Amy Gledhill) investigate the murder of Aaron Corval. Because of the viral video of Simon being attacked, they quickly suspect him. Simon insists he didn’t do it when questioned.
Meanwhile, private investigator Elena Ravenscroft (Ruth Jones) is following restaurant owner Maria Finchley (Chanel Waddock). She’s also working for businessman Sebastian Thorpe (Simon Thorp), whose son has been missing for a week.
Simon and his wife Ingrid try to find their daughter Paige. They visit Aaron’s apartment, now a crime scene, and talk to neighbor Cornelius Faber (Lucian Msamati). This leads them to another building’s basement, where they face a drug dealer named Rocco (Marcus Fraser).
