The One Piece Anime Series Plot
It follows Monkey D. Luffy, an aspiring pirate with rubber‑like limbs, who sails with the Straw Hats in search of the legendary treasure, the One Piece. The new anime series, THE ONE PIECE, will adapt the East Blue Saga. Season 1 is set to cover the first 50 chapters, bringing the beginning of the manga to life once again.
First published in 1997, the manga has sold more than 600 million copies worldwide as of March 2026. The original anime began in 1999 and has run for over 20 seasons.
Netflix’s live‑action adaptation premiered in August 2023. Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming now, with Season 3 arriving in 2027.
