In the sleepy town of Tall Pines, there are many secrets buried deep down. Police officer Alex Dempsey arrives with his pregnant wife, Laura. Alex meets two best friends, Abbie and Leila, who attend the local troubled teens’ school.

Abbie and Leila want to escape from the establishment back to the real world, and they seem to have some evidence that could help Alex uncover the truth. Alex begins investigating and becomes suspicious of the mysterious woman, Evelyn, who owns the school.

Wayward , the new series created by Mae Martin, is a thrilling character study of the sharp conflict between adolescents and their adult carers, as well as an exploration of loyalty and friendship.
