The Odyssey is set to release in theaters across the United States on July 17, 2026. The movie will be released by Universal Pictures. The film will be shown in IMAX, IMAX 70mm, and other large premium theater formats for a bigger and better viewing experience.

In a very rare move, tickets for select IMAX 70mm shows went on sale on July 17, 2025, exactly one year before the movie’s release. This kind of early ticket sale had never happened before with a major studio film.

Because of high demand, many of these shows sold out within just 12 hours, including half of the 22 IMAX theaters offering these screenings in the United States.
