Power Ballad Movie Story
At a fancy wedding, Rick (Paul Rudd) sings so well that he meets Danny (Nick Jonas). Danny was once in a boy band but now struggles with his solo career. They perform together, then spend the night drinking and playing music. Rick shares a special song he has worked on for years.
In many movies, Danny would be shown as a clear villain. But director John Carney makes the story more complex. Danny feels his talent is fading. He thinks stealing Rick’s song is the only way to save his career. He convinces himself it isn’t wrong. Still, the movie shows how selfish Danny becomes once the song is a big hit.
