Lainey Wilson as Jessie
Lainey Wilson joins Leanne Season 2 as Leanne’s cousin Jessie. Netflix revealed Wilson’s role in a clip from the new season. Leanne Morgan had also shared a photo with Wilson and Kristen Johnston from the set earlier this year. This is Wilson’s first major role on the sitcom.
Jaime Pressly as Leanne’s Hairdresser
Jaime Pressly appears in Season 2 as Leanne’s hairdresser. In the trailer, her character talks with Leanne about her divorce from Bill and asks if she is experiencing “divorce remorse.”
Pressly is also familiar with Chuck Lorre’s sitcoms. She played Jill Kendall on Mom from 2014 to 2021.
Billy Gardell
Billy Gardell is another new face appearing in Leanne Season 2. Gardell has a guest role and can be seen in the trailer meeting Leanne at a local bar. The actor previously worked with Chuck Lorre on Bob Hearts Abishola. He also starred in Mike & Molly with Melissa McCarthy.
Tyne Daly
Tyne Daly joins the new season alongside her real-life younger brother, Tim Daly, who plays Andrew. The siblings previously worked together in the 2018 off-Broadway play Downstairs. Netflix announced Tyne Daly’s casting in June 2026.
Benim Foster
Benim Foster is also joining Leanne Season 2. His talent management company announced his role on Instagram in July 2026. Foster appears in the Season 2 trailer at the same bar where Leanne meets Billy Gardell’s character.

Season 2 continues Leanne’s journey after the major changes in her life. She is dealing with her divorce from Bill while also trying to build a relationship with Andrew.
The new season also focuses on Leanne’s family, her aging parents, dating at 60, and the challenges of starting a new chapter. Leanne Morgan said she hopes viewers will find the new season relatable and funny.
